MODULE 01
Characterise the stream
Establish chemistry, flow, temperature, variability, contaminants, scaling and corrosion risks, current treatment, discharge or reinjection constraints and the operator's priorities.
Our Approach
Brivalta develops the overall process architecture around measured feed data and the operator's treatment requirements. Its core development role is to define the configuration, integrate laboratory, engineering, product and economic results, and make Go, Revise or No-Go decisions between stages. Brivalta brings in specialist technologies and partners where needed and advances the configuration when the technical and economic case supports the next stage.
MODULAR PROCESS ARCHITECTURE
Optional pathways are selected only where the stream, operating need and economics justify them.
The configuration depends on the actual stream and operating requirement. Not every project includes heat recovery, resource recovery or water reuse, and each development stage proceeds only when the evidence supports it.
PROCESS MODULES
MODULE 01
Establish chemistry, flow, temperature, variability, contaminants, scaling and corrosion risks, current treatment, discharge or reinjection constraints and the operator's priorities.
MODULE 02
Develop the pretreatment and contaminant-removal steps needed to protect downstream operations, meet the water objective and improve the quality of any recoverable products. The sequence is selected for the real stream and validated in stages.
MODULE 03
Brivalta evaluates whether established heat-recovery technologies belong in the overall configuration. The case depends on measured temperature and flow, temporal profile, distance to a user, required delivery temperature, materials compatibility, energy price and site-specific capital and operating costs. Brivalta is not presenting a proprietary heat-pump technology.
MODULE 04
Develop and test selective recovery against real feed chemistry and product requirements. Magnesium hydroxide is the initial product pathway. Other minerals or products remain future, stream-specific research options.
MODULE 05
Assess whether treated water should be reused, supplied to another user, discharged or reinjected, and identify the residual streams, permits, monitoring and responsibilities attached to that route.
SYSTEM INTEGRATION
Brivalta brings the justified modules into one site-specific process concept and defines their interfaces, mass and energy balances, residual streams, operating requirements, safety considerations and development plan. Laboratory work, pilot design and later demonstration follow this integrated configuration.
DEVELOPMENT PRINCIPLE
A module is retained only if it improves the treatment objective or creates positive net value after accounting for reagents, energy, residuals, product quality, capital cost, operating complexity and risk. A configuration advances from laboratory work to pilot, demonstration and future commercial deployment only when the evidence supports the next stage.
START A CONVERSATION
Bring available stream data, sample access and a defined operating challenge. Brivalta can help shape a credible next development stage.
