Brivalta is at an early technology-readiness stage, approximately TRL 2–3. The company does not yet have a validated commercial process, operating pilot plant or commercial magnesium hydroxide production. The next milestone is decision-quality laboratory and site evidence.
WORK COMPLETED TO DATE
Brivalta has completed market research, early process and value-chain analysis, preliminary techno-economic modelling, application screening and the design of staged validation work. These outputs guide the next experiments; they do not replace them.
NEXT EVIDENCE GATE
The next programme should secure representative stream data and samples, test pretreatment and magnesium recovery, characterise the product and residuals, evaluate heat only where measured site data justify it, and update the mass balance and economics.
DEVELOPMENT GATES
Brivalta intends to lead justified configurations through this staged pathway. Progression occurs only when agreed criteria are met for chemistry, recovery, product quality, residuals, safety, site integration, customer need and economics. Every stage retains a clear stop, revise or proceed decision.
COMMUNICATION PRINCIPLE
Brivalta separates established facts, analytical results, testable hypotheses and future development directions. Site-specific performance, environmental benefit and commercial viability will not be claimed until supported by appropriate evidence.
